Depending on the coa ng material, specific proper es of the raw fibers such as strength, resistance against fric on, heat, and chemicals, can be significantly influenced and improved. The use of modified coa ng materials such as PTFE, acrylates, silicone, and polyurethane has resulted in a wide range of impregnated special yarns that can be used as technical fabrics in the industrial and private sector, where the focus is on heat and fire protec on and performance. Whether in processing in the automo ve industry, in fire protec on, in high-power insula on or even in daily life applica ons such as cut protec on, sun protec on and shading, PD aitec® fibers are convincing at a high level of quality. A�er the successful development of PTFE-coated glass yarns and threads, we have successfully expanded our technology to include other carrier materials such as steel, aramide and co�on. Thread counts from 11 to 4000 tex guarantee op mum solu ons for a wide variety of customer processes. A significant success is the produc on of PTFE-coated sewing threads based on aramide and glass.
