Our fiberglass products are used in a wide range of applications in various industries. Due to its excellent properties in terms of thermal insulation, fire protection and lightweight construction potential, glass fiber is an indispensable composite material for industry when safety and energy efficiency are required.

Tank and pipeline construction

In various processes, glass fibers are sprayed or wound onto containers and pipe systems in order to achieve properties such as permanent tightness, high corrosion resistance and low weight.
When reinforcing pipes in particular, continuous glass fibers are wound at an angle of approx. 90° to the pipe axis and additional non-directional short glass fibers are added. With this combination of differently oriented fiber reinforcements, the strength of the pipes in the circumferential and axial directions can be determined for the respective requirements.

Castings – industrial

Long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics are reinforced with our textile glass fibers and use BMC and SMC processes to achieve optimum properties in cast parts that are produced in large industrial quantities, such as housings for electrical appliances and tools.

The shredded glass fibers vary in length depending on the required performance of the LFT. The glass fiber content is usually between 15 and 20 percent, but can be up to 25 percent to meet exceptional requirements.
