PD aitec® coated threads
Our coatings are always used when temperature stability, UV resistance or chemical resistance are at the forefront of the end application. PD aitec® coated threads also score points for their outstanding abrasion resistance.
Depending on the application, our single fibers are coated with PTFE, acrylic or PU and processed into yarns or twisted yarns – also in combination with steel, for example. Yarn counts from 11 to 4000 tex guarantee an optimum solution for a wide range of customer processes.
Coatings with adhesion promoters, Kevlar or silicone are also possible.
Coated threads are used as the main input material in finished products or as high-quality machine sewing threads for ready-made products. Examples of applications can be found almost everywhere in industry. Particularly noteworthy are their use in the automotive and aviation industries, in fire protection and in high-performance insulation.

PTFE is extremely resistant to all bases, alcohols, petrol and oils. Due to its very low coefficient of friction, PTFE has the best sliding and non-stick properties of all plastics. PTFE is also non-flammable and can be exposed to high temperatures. By individually coating the glass yarns, we can prove that an increase in tensile strength of 10 – 20% can be achieved.
It is possible to process the yarns or twisted yarns in combination with other materials such as steel.

Acrylic colorcoatings
Our paint coatings are characterized by high UV resistance and good abrasion resistance. The colors offered are stable up to a temperature of 180°C and can therefore also be used under high heat conditions. For example, in the cable industry as heat-resistant connecting cables or marking threads.

PU coatings
Our hand sewing threads are mainly coated with PU. Depending on the area of application, these can be supplied in white or gray and in a wide variety of packaging forms. Whether as a handy cross-wound bobbin with a weight of 0.5 kg to 1.5 kg or as flanged bobbins H8 or H9 is up to you. Hand sewing threads are used for insulation in power station construction, in technical fabrics or for making up. Our hand sewing threads are particularly handy and light for use in the repair sector.
It is possible to process the threads in combination with other materials, such as steel.
