In a world of corporations, P-D Glasseiden GmbH Oschatz is one of the few owner-managed medium-sized companies left.
Textile glass fibers have been processed into woven roving, NCF and complexes or chopped strand mats at the Oschatz site for over 50 years. In close cooperation with our customers, we are constantly developing our product portfolio to meet the ever-growing demands of the global market.
At its plant in Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt, the company also produces globally unique coated high-performance fibers made of glass and aramid for a wide range of industrial applications.
Ready-to-use laminate kits are also produced at the Bitterfeld site, including for wind power customers.

In consistent pursuit of our sustainability strategy, we are converting the Group’s energy consumers to renewable energies. Milestones on this path include the conversion of our chopped strand mat production from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources and the comprehensive new construction of our heating supply system at our headquarters in Oschatz.
By implementing these measures, we are reducing ourCO2 emissions by more than 1,400 tons per year. This corresponds to a reduction of more than 30%. For the production of our chopped strand mat, we are reducingCO2 emissions per kg by more than 50%.
By further expanding renewable energies, we aim to reduce the consumption of fossil raw materials to a minimum by 2030.
